Sharing expressions of love In I Corinthians 13:8 we read: "Love never fails" We were blessed to share love from home thru hugs, prayers, words and gifts.
Dennis & Kathie Vaus thank you for praying for their mission opportunities. James says "The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." We currently have several so called "short term mission opportunities".
1- Weekly please pray for our 11 month young Bible study and home fellowship in Salinas, Ca. We are studying the gospel of Luke , in Luke 13.
2- Pray for our weekly involvement teaching in the Home Fellowship in Pacific Grove. We are continuing a study in prophecy and current events. Now going through Daniel.
3- We give thanks and praise for those giving and helping support our Latvian mission this past summer. All of our in country expenses for food, transportation, translators etc. were covered. Our airfare was reduced by 50%. Praise as God totally supplied our needs according to His riches in Christ Jesus!
4-Pray that Kathie & I would discern God's future and plan for our involvement in training and equipping believers thru international missions. Deciding where God is leading: Philippines, Japan, Mexico or?.
had their 1rst international mission when visiting the Philippines w/t crusade team of 120 in 1990, led by Mike MacIntosh & Horizon International Ministries. At the time neither knew the other, & would not meet until a Bible study 3 yrs later in San Diego. In 94 they were married on 11 19. Their 5 children are Jim, Alissa (+ Jason), Titus (+ Nicole), Gina (+ Lance), Angela (+ James). Beginning in ‘99 while serving at the Christian conference center in Head Waters Va. they developed a discipleship program called Wilderness Bible Institute. Though in the confines of the USA, this was a short term mission as well. Dennis has also ministered in Mexico, Grenada, Russia, Thailand, Japan + China. In Acts 1:8 Jesus said: “ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, & in all Judaea, in Samaria, unto the uttermost part of the earth.” When they are in the US they reside in Pacific Grove Ca. & attend Calvary Chapel of Monterey Bay. At home they are both involved in leadership for a Bible study in the Salinas valley. Being on the mission field is their passion, whether domestic or international.
